It would only be YOUR happiness if you’re finally able to stand up for yourself, express your opinions, and choose what makes you happy.
I believe it takes time to know who you really are and to know what to do with your identity. There are no rules and regulations in finding happiness; the source of our happiness can be shallow or can be deep, it can come from the little things we do or from the grandeur things others can do for us.
Simple happiness can be found in reading a book, singing a song, dancing to the beat, riding a bicycle, eating your favorite food, bonding with your family, hanging out with friends, partying on a Friday night, or studying on a school night; but long-lasting happiness comes deeper than that. We can find deeper happiness in feeling loved, being in love, and making sacrifices for others as long as it makes them happy.
It is a self-contentment to figure your heart’s desire in this chaotic world filled with the unending judgments of the society and to flaunt yourself with confidence and pride with the idea of knowing who you truly are.
As the old saying goes, “Happiness is a choice”. But I say, “Happiness is YOUR choice.” It wouldn’t be YOUR happiness if it were others who made the decision for you. It would only be YOUR happiness if you’re finally able to stand up for yourself, express your opinions, and choose what makes you happy. Happiness can also come from the joy that we feel with knowing what direction you want to take, living your life with a purpose, helping others in figuring solutions to their problems, encouraging them to thrive hard in their lives, or simply being there for someone in need of help.
There are lots of ways to be happy and to make others happy; there are no guidelines in finding happiness, oftentimes, we just have to figure it out ourselves.
